ABOUT ME

Dominik

I am a game developer and freelancer with a diverse range of skills and experiences. Having navigated the challenges of the indie lifestyle, I have gained proficiency in various aspects of game development.

However, my passion lies in utilizing Unreal Engine and texturing. As a creative professional, I have a deep passion for producing visually stunning and engaging content for interactive media, such as games.

Over the years, I have gained expertise in working with Unreal Engine, mainly using blueprints and to a lesser extent, C++. Additionally, I possess competencies in other related tools and technologies outlined below.

If you are seeking a qualified and motivated developer who shares your vision and passion, please contact me via the contact form or Discord, both of which can be found at the bottom of this page.

A SPECIAL MOMENT

Earlier this year, I had an incredible opportunity to deliver a presentation and speech to a young audience about game development. It was an immensely gratifying experience to connect with an audience that regularly plays games and interacts with them on a daily basis. I had the privilege of peeling back the curtain and revealing what goes on behind the scenes, hopefully sparking some interest in game development as a potential career path.

My main aim was to encourage curiosity among the audience, enlighten them with new knowledge about things they encounter daily, and share my passion for game development with them.

what is asset processing?

before after.jpg

Indie developers and individuals working with limited budgets frequently turn to third-party assets from websites such as Sketchfab and CGTrader. While these assets are often cost-effective, they may lack the quality necessary for a project to truly shine.

Common issues include incorrect sizing, inadequate rigging, and other technical flaws. Take, for instance, the Altyn helmet pictured above, which was purchased for a mere $14 from a third-party vendor. Through meticulous asset processing, I was able to ensure that the helmet was scaled correctly, appropriately rigged, and its textures and materials were refined to significantly enhance the model's visual appeal.
